Rawxies

Early March, I was excited to see one night that I had won a giveaway for Rawxies products via Dianna’s site, Chard in Charge. I quickly emailed back about winning and talked back and forth with her until I received my prize. She is super friendly and has an amazing site; I just searched it now and scrolled down to find a very simple, tasty recipe that I am craving now. Go ahead and check her blog out, you will not be disappointed. In regards to the giveaway that she had, she has a interview above the giveaway post with the founder of the brand; which I should am quite interested in reading more throughly now.

I have been aware of Rawxies for some time now, but had yet to try any other their products until this giveaway. My interest in Rawxies was mainly in how clean their treats and snacks are. There is no downside to having Rawxies with the treats being raw, vegan, gluten free, and soy free. The snacks are identified as being grain free, gluten free, vegan, living food, sugar free, and made with no nuts. I received the mint chocolate chip, banana nut bread, and lemon poppy seed treat. Along with the the cheezy smoked paprika, cheezy chipotle curry, and cheezy chili lime savory snack. Lastly, I was given the Stop Eating Crap small bag; a new grocery bag to shop with.

It wasn’t long until I tried the treats since I have such a sweet tooth. The mint chocolate chip was a chewy version of a a vegan mint chocolate bar. It wasn’t overly sweet, more of a subtle mint and chocolate taste. Being a banana lover and so much more so now as a vegan, the banana nut bread treat was a must to eat. It was a bite sized taste of vegan banana bread with the crunch of nuts too. A treat or a snack through out the day it can be eaten for sure. The lemon treat is still in my mom’s room to eat when she wants in. I am not a lemon fan at all, but I know that she likest that flavor and sharing vegan food for me is a must.

As for the crunchy, savory snacks , I saved these for a while but I finished the Cheezy Smoked Paprika bag first. These I enjoyed alone for a snack with some pistachios and edamame. These cheezy bites tasted like small pizza bites to me; a savory, crunchy cheezy snack. I have yet to add them to salads or other savory dishes I eat, but I know they would compliment it well. The other two flavors basically tasted the same to me besides them both having a small spicy kick after finished a bite.

Honestly, I enjoyed each snack greatly and have no negatives to speak of at all.  I hope to have the chance to try the mocha almond treat in the future too. I absolutely adore the packing design and the shape that the Rawxies are in. I truly hope that the company will produce more healthy, vegan and raw snacks and treats soon.
